BYU Professor opening keynote speaker at International Symposium

Mechanical Engineering Professor Dr. Larry Howell was a keynote speaker at the Second International Symposium on Compliant Mechanisms in Delft, The Netherlands, May 20, 2011.

Mechanical Engineering Professor Dr. Larry Howell was a keynote speaker at the Second International Symposium on Compliant Mechanisms in Delft, The Netherlands, May 20, 2011.

The CoMe Symposium primarily focuses on fundamental issues and future research directions in compliant mechanisms research and design, on lessons learnt and challenges ahead, but also in-depth research articles, review articles and short communications.

Dr. Howell was the opening keynote speaker of the morning session with his talk entitled, " Impressions on the Possible Immediate and Future Impact of Compliant Mechanism"

"I'm not intending to teach you anything new about Compliant Mechanisms, what I want to do, instead, is get your mind thinking about what the immediate and future impacts of compliant mechanism are. "
